Harley Shovelhead/Evolution Keihin Carburetor (OEM #27501-86A). This is the late style Keihin with the push-pull throttle cable cam.
The part number ending in "-86A" suggests first use in 1986, but the Keihin, in different configurations, was used on the XL Sportsters and FX/FL Shovelheads back to 1976. So it can be fitted and tuned for the early bikes, as well. However, a complete cleaning and rebuild kit will be required prior to use. Also, the plastic section of the existing fuel inlet has a few cracks, so replacement is required. We always recommend solid brass inlets.
Otherwise, all flange bolt holes have good, straight threads, float and jetting components are present, and both throttle and choke assemblies have good function. A complete cleaning, rebuild kit, and new fuel inlet required, prior to use. Vintage: 1986-L (But can be used back to 1976).101521 CR-3 (21 07 18, 1-72).
